I love to write poetry. That and photography are my main passion in life. I am trying to be more abstract with my poetry recently. I'm finding that it's quite hard to do if you're not used to it. I guess it's just an aquired art that I have yet to "aquire".

SUPERMARKET

I thought I heard your heart beating last night...
it was only the sound of the clock on my nite stand
reminding me that it's been 3 days, 14 hours and 22 minutes since you last called.
But I try not to count, it makes me miss you more.
I thought I saw you in the grocery store the other night.
Don't ask, I don't know what I was doing there at 2:30 in the morning...
searching for something I guess.
Something that I couldn't find in 2 days expired ground beef, or the sale in aisle 7B.
I did remember to notice the emptiness that I felt,
alone in a huge store, full of things that people want, things that people need,
and all I can think about is how much I need you.

"Don't live in the past, or in the future. Enjoy what you have today and pray that you still have it in the morning."
